Mural work etc.
Do any of you have images, moving or still, of Saturday's doings in the school playground? Would love to see some. Would also like to read some impressions of the endeavor. Was it fun? Was it messy? Fill us in please.

May be of interest
I'm not entirely sure if this is appropriate but I'm going to do it anyway.
I have posted a new body of work, (20 images), exploring the sibling relationship of two little boys. Yes, you've guessed it, Eoin and Connor. This body of work is for a grant to further my endeavors in capturing the essence of childhood play, curiosity, devilment and everything else. As Connor has gotten more articulate, he and Eoin can now discuss all sorts of weird and wonderful things and plan their explorations in some detail. These images attempt to explore that. Should you be interested,
they're here.
Next up is Jonathan's youtube promo for his strangely beautiful new book. I'll say no more but let it speak for itself. Jonathan, if I'm out of line here, please let me know and I'll remove this or you can do so yourself.

CEC meeting Thursday 15th
Is anyone going? I can't: Tercio's working that night. We should try to get some bodies there, as per Lynne's request in the e-mail she sent on the 7th. I'll copy it here in case anyone didn't get it.
Thanks.

Lynne's email:
"I’m writing with an update on the situation with the District 6 Community Education Council (CEC) that arose last month, when they passed a resolution protesting the fact that the Sherman Avenue site had been assigned to WHA without their direct input.
A few of us have been in dialogue with various CEC members with the aim of reaching a compromise: As of last night, two members have offered to draft a revised resolution, which would affirm WHA’s assignment to the Sherman Avenue site, while asking that the DOE consult the CEC more directly in future siting decisions.
If the new resolution moves ahead, it would be presented at the next CEC Public Meeting on Thursday, November 15, at 7:00 PM. We will want to have a few WHA representatives there to witness the proceedings and speak on our school’s behalf if necessary. Please let me know if you can attend this meeting. It is important that we have at least a few parents there.
The CEC has also informed us that Garth Harries, who delivered our siting decision, has agreed to meet with them to discuss the steps through which this decision was made. Crystal plans to be in touch with Mr. Harries prior to this meeting to be sure we are all on the same page.
THANK YOU to all of you who have been collecting signatures for the past few weeks. The CEC is aware of our petition drive, and I’m sure it’s part of the reason they’re now willing to reconsider their position. While the outcome of this situation is not yet definite, it’s promising news that some CEC members are willing to engage in constructive dialogue around this issue. "
Thanks.

These are Daita's pictures
I linked these from Daita's public gallery at Picasa. The embedding feature wasn't working, for some reason, so I used html code. I will prepare some basic instructions for using code to link material into a blog hopefully tomorrow evening.
Thanks for these images Daita. They're wonderful. What a wonderful morning that was.
Posting pix, vids etc
I have a substantial amount of post production work to do from a recent shoot so I'll post some ideas on uploading video clips and photographs as soon as I can. Perhaps tomorrow night (Sunday).
I look forward to seeing lots more images here (both moving and still) of the little ones in action.
'Till later then.
